Do you have a favorite knife sharpener in the Camberville area?

??Siraccos
YOu can take your knives to Tags in Porter and that place ?/Sciraccios? picks up and drops off there. Go down to the key-cutting counter in the back corner of the basement.

Those guys are just about the only game in town, and unfortunately they've butchered one of my favorite knives.
I'm going back to doing my own. :-/

Yeah, the Siracos (http://www.siracosharpening.com/) do the scissor sharpening at the costume shop where I used to work, and I've had them do my knives at the farmers' market a couple of times. I've seen them do a perfectly good job and I've also had them completely ruin a knife, so I'm not going to use them again.

I have seen the woman with the van at the Farmers' Market in Davis -- her technique/machinery is different -- but I haven't tried her out. I would be interested in hearing how she is, because my knives need sharpening and I'm not sure what to do about it.

I haven't used the, but I know that the owners of Didriks just opened this place that offers sharpening: http://localroot.com/knife-sharpening.html

There's someone who does knife sharpening out of her van at Pemberton Farms on the first Sunday of every month. Too late for December, but I assume she also does other locations. She did a fine job on ours and we'll be going back.

Stoddard's Cutlery in Newton all the way. R dinged the blade of his Wusthof chef's knife and we thought it might have been ruined. Stoddard's did an amazing job of shaving off the knick and got it razor sharp to boot. Price was right, too!! Highly recommend them.

And I realize Newton isn't Camberville. Happy to give a lift!
