delight
After yesterday's curiously warm and humid weather, I'm finding today's brisk clarity refreshing. I noticed it was almost dark yesterday at 3:30, which was just shocking, and not in a fun way. On the other hand, though, it made me appreciate this morning's sun on my skin that much more.

I love how bright the world is with the leaves fallen from the trees. I know a lot of people find the bare branches bleak and depressing, but for me, this is the time of year when the sky seems biggest around here, and I love it.

What's delighting you today?

That's a good point about the leaves and the sky! Thank you, I'm likely to remember that when looking outside. :)

Delightful today: Nochka being all cuddly in the morning; the sun shining so very brightly; administrators at the main library communicating with me in advance! about paperwork etc.

I woke up this morning in a houseful of cheerful people and found that I have a mysterious surplus of initiative and stamina. I love it when that happens!

Okay, to be completely honest, the beach is awesome almost every day. I just don't go every day. But I go at least once every week. And in winter, it's pretty deserted. :) I <3 the ocean so much!

Yes, I see opportunity, room for growth, for seeing things in a new light. I love, love, love this time of year, not despite of, but in part because of the fallen leaves.

I'm delighted by coffee, Paul Simon, and being --> <-- this close to finishing a large project at work.

A gorgeous sunrise, seen from my bed, although tinged with regret since I know the days of those are numbered.

My hamstrings! They might have been located and actually seem to be doing some work.

Many other things are going wrong right now, so I appreciate being reminded to appreciate the good things.
