I'm toying with the idea of finding a guided retreat to go to in the next year or so -- possibly meditation, or some other modern Buddhist sort of thing, though painted with a pretty broad brush. I'm particularly interested in finding a retreat that isn't all white people. In fact, I would love for white folks to be half or less of the class attendees, while not intruding on safe space for POC. I don't really know how to go about searching for this; do any of you know of such retreats, or have ideas for good search terms to use?

So this isn't exactly what you're asking but may be of interest. Look into places that do retreats/classes that help white people unlearn racism. I suspect if you talk to groups that do that, they can give you suggestions.

That's a good thought! Thanks.

the tibetan restaurant in davis square routinely puts up posters about buddhist speakers. perhaps they would know about retreats largely attended by people of tibetan heritage?
