the last few days (the short version)

I'm pooped. it's been a jam-packed few days, including a wild translation on Friday, my graduation, a school trip on Saturday and a shopping trip today. I've gotten up before 6 both of the last two days, and been very busy in between, so I'm exhausted, but in a good way.

I'm not excited about the prospect of getting on another bus for more than a few minutes for the next couple of days, so I may skip the lake and do things around Xela instead, which would be kinda a bummer (to miss the lake) but also spiffy (because I could spend more time with my friends and see some friends who've been on vacation the whole time I've been here).

I'll elucidate more completely tomorrow when I've had some more sleep, but to sum up:

Translating for excited archeologists is challenging.
Graduating is fun.
Getting up early sucks but being up early is nice.
Not all dogs in Guatemala have fleas, but all dogs in Guatemala will bark if given an excuse to do so.
Llevar (to carry) is not the same as llover (to rain).
School bus seats are not made for adults.
Chichicastenango has an amazing market.
Bed: MMMMmmmm!
