ruthless compassion
02 January 2004 @ 11:09 am
It's starting to get a little more normal to be back here, and that's good. And it's snowing! That's good, too. Cozy day. It's so good to see folks, and there's a lot more seeing to be done, of course. I also have lots of presents to distribute, which is great fun.

I don't really do New Year's resolutions, as I think it's silly to wait for the beginning of January to start doing things that feel right, but since this year, the end of my trip happens to coincide with the changing of the year, and that naturally leads to future-thinking sorts of things, I have some resolutions, and I happen to be making them around this time. So. In addition to my standard batch of ideas for living well, I have:

* Stop idealizing the feminine.
* Speak Spanish.
* Avoid ruts.
