So, I have a doctor's appointment today, with an organization that does a sliding scale for lower-income clients.

To prove my low income, I should bring:

My most recent pay stub (presumably NOT from last July, which is when my last stub came)
A letter from my (nonexistent) employer stating my income
Proof of my unemployment benefits (of which I have none)

If I have none of the above, I should bring proof of how it is that I'm paying my bills, but not if that proof is a bank statement.

Any suggestions? I'm stumped.

I figure I'll bring in last year's tax statements and hope for the best.
