I made these tonight and they're YUMMY:

2 1/2 c. flour
1 t baking soda
1 t baking powder
1 t ground cinnamon
1 t ground nutmeg
1/2 t ground ginger
1/2 t salt

(sift/mix dry ingredients together in a bowl)

1/2 c (1 stick) unsalted butter (room temp)
1 1/2 c sugar (I used white)

(cream these together)

1 c pumpkin puree, canned or fresh
1 egg
2 t vanilla extract
1/2 c molasses

(add these to the creamed butter and sugar)

1/2 package semisweet chocolate chips
nuts, if you're into that kind of thing (which I'm not)

(mix into batter)

Drop the batter by heaping tablespoons appx 1 inch apart on baking sheets (these spread less than regular chocochip cookies).

Bake 13-15 minutes at 350 until lightly browned.
