I try to look on the bright side of those days when I start to feel crappy partway through my run and can "only" run a mile or a mile and a half by telling myself that a few months ago, I was feeling accomplished to run 3 minutes at a stretch. But it's kind of cold comfort when I don't get the post-run high that comes with an actual distance (which seems, at this point, to mean a minimum of 2.25 miles.)
