ruthless compassion

I've gotten a disproportionate number of compliments today, despite having done nothing special with my appearance or attire this morning. After the last one, I thought to myself, "Wow, if I didn't know better, I'd think I was ovulating!"

Which, of course, caused me to check my calendar, and what do you know?
