here today, gone tomorrow

I'm back in Boston for a 12 hour layover (mmm, my bed) and heading off for Memorial Day fun this afternoon. Laundry's laundering, I'm showered, maps are printing...

It's feeling, right now, like a pretty insane little turnaround, and part of me is looking back at the past-me saying, "What were you thinking?" I know what I was thinking, though, which may possibly be helpful, or... possibly not. Anyway, I'm sure I'll have fun once I get where I'm going.

I'm also having that post-big-trip deflation, especially in light of what turned out to be a pretty powerful experience, unexpectedly so. I was so focused, pre-trip, on dreading the camping piece, and not really knowing what permaculture is, that the big, exciting stuff caught me by surprise. I'll be chewing over it for a while.

It's going to take me a while to catch up on 2 weeks of LJ, if I even manage to to so at all. If you've written something that you'd particularly like me to read, do let me know.
