  • Mood:
It's been a long time since I went out walking in honest to goodness, plain old cold weather, and I'd forgotten how gorgeously luxurious it feels! Most of our cold weather this fall has been accompanied by wet bluster, which is, by my lights, less fun for walking and more conducive to hurried rushing from place to place.

Tonight was not a night for strolling; it was a bit too chilly for that. But it was a great night for brisk walking in the dark, shoofing through piles of leaves fallen in the street and looking at the full moon through a surprising number of colorful leaves still clinging to branches.

Nights like this are some large portion of the reason to love winter.
