So, when I have people visiting and I offer them water, and they accept, I can then ask them if they want bubbly or regular water. Which is great fun!
But even more fun, inexplicably, is phrasing it, "Would you like sparkling or still?" Because the first few times I heard that, I found it so obnoxiously pretentious, now that I say it all the time at home, it just makes me giggle.
Of course, then I worry that it sounds pretentious and no one knows I'm making fun of myself when I'm doing it. So that's why I'm telling you this!
