Berkeley, CA!

I'm sitting in a beautiful home in Berkeley, drinking a glass of raw milk purchased at the grocery store, having fallen head-over-heels about yet another brilliant and gorgeous small person, and, predictably, wondering why I can't just pick up my whole clump of friends and move them into an awesome collective in the Bay Area.

The few days (and weeks, really) leading up to this trip were such a crazy whirlwind that I severely failed to contact several people I would normally want to see on a trip out this way, and at this point, I think I've decided that's just how it's gonna be. I still have lots of really friggin' awesome stuff planned, and it's just lovely to be here.

But tell me again why I don't live here?
