Elizabeth took me to Ginza for lunch, where I had nummy sushi and we caught up on life. She and her new hubby (who I still haven't met!) are likely buying a house in Holliston. Whoa. My real bye-bye lunch is next Thursday, when I'll go in and pick up the last few items I didn't bring home this week, and, one hopes, more people will be around to see me off.
This feels like the first irreversable step to my trip, and it's pretty scary. I've had this job 4 1/2 years, which is longer than anything's been constant in my life since leaving home to go to college. I won't miss the job, but I will certainly miss the people. And, I have to admit, I'll miss the routine, although that's a big part of the whole point of all this upheaval :)
Anyway, I'm feeling jittery and nervous, so it's a darn good thing I'm planning to dance tonight. I haven't been in a while, and my intertia is high, but I'm going, and I'll have a fabulous time, I know, and I'll get to see mew and andy, and sweat and laugh and flirt. Yay!
