Do you have a favorite shoe brand? If so, what is it, and why is it your favorite?

i'm fond of Keens. they're cute, comfy, and rugged all in one.

I would love Keens if so many of them didn't have the big rubber bumper on the toe!

I've had my Tevas for over 8 years, and the were in used condition then. The soles are finally getting worn out, so I'm planning on getting another pair soon.

I want to love Tevas! But the couple of pairs I've tried have been too squishy for me. Though I think that's part of the comfort/appeal for most people.

I have weird feet, insanely high arches, which often makes shoe buying difficult. Mootsies Tootsies always fit, and most Italian brands do too

Dansko. I live in my Dansko clogs most of the year, and switch to the Dansko boots when it's too cold for clogs. I have a pair of their sandals as well, but sadly the strap chafes and gives me blisters.

Ecco, because they keep making shoes I like even before I know their brand.

Eccos make my feet insanely happy, but they make my pocketbook frown. Thank goodness for Sierra Trading Post!

I would say that, I'm the hugest fan of Born, though do watch for issues where the upper being stitched to the lower on the outside, bends over and causes an irreconcilable ridge.

But I go to them, clarks, and lastly, fluevogs these days. I will not be parted from my "Frye" (they have replaced my fluevogs as my "go to" boot.

I also have a pair of El Naturalistas ( http://www.thetannery.com/ProductDetails.aspx?g=3&dept=79&cat=84&pid=16073&sid=38904 ) which I love, but the Fryes rolled me over for all of last season.

but see.. born! http://www.thetannery.com/ProductDetails.aspx?g=3&dept=79&cat=84&pid=16702&sid=39558

You could drink Hendricks Martinis all night in these boots.

Caveat: I just can't abide thick clunky shoes. This makes most hip & trendy brands anathema to me.

i have annoying feet (really skinny) and have recently found relief with skechers.

New Balance for sneakers, super comfy and mostly made in the US w/o sweatshop labor.

My harness boots which I also love, very soft, very comfortable, are made by Durango.

both pair of dress shoes are eccos (black and brown)
both pair of sneakers are brooks (white and black.)

Both brands i would totally choose again.

Well, I like my Dansko clogs, they are comfortable.

And I'll probably get flack for this, but I love my Crocs. I don't care that people think they're ugly, I don't care that *I* think they're goofy, I get annoyed when I can't wear them for one reason or another -- because I used to have a very low grade (but quite annoying) back ache that went away when I started wearing Crocs and tends to come back when I wear most regular shoes. So I tend to think, most of the time "screw what other people think, my back ache is gone, thank god". No one is paying me to look good for them so I'll endure the back ache, so I get to wear what I want.

The only thing that nearly made me quit wearing Crocs was a shocking picture on the web. http://www.stylelist.com/blog/photos/celebrities-in-the-ugliest-shoes-ever/480122/ to be exact. Please also notice the socks, with the special seal. ;-)

I've been very fond of Merrells for a long time, for walking and hiking shoes. And I have a pair of Chaco sandals that I really like, but something about the insole seems to dry out my feet.
