Mine's called "Charge the iphone!"
I play it every night, and after every half hour of playing anything else.

Aurora Feint is my usual time killer, it's a neat take on the bejeweled style "match three" type game.

/me reconsiders the genius of buying a used iphone... *grin*
and yes, I know there are reasonably priced ways to replace the battery.

DoodleJump (jumping alien with rockets and propeller hats! I love this one, so do my kids.)

BubblesTilt (tetris like, sorta)

Waterslide (my kids like this one - I got bored with it quickly, but it's good/easy to hand to a kid and keep the distracted for a few.)

I'm totally stuck on the Pirates level! I think I know what needs to be done, I just can't do it.

Definitely Peggle. You should be able to get a PC/Mac trial here: http://www.popcap.com/games/peggle

Conversation between me and jacflash: "Y'know, I have over twenty games on the iPhone, but I really only play one these days." "And Quinn plays the other nineteen?" "Yep."

It's not entirely true, because I do play Flight Control, and Labyrinth and/or Labyrinth 3D, occasionally. But my real love is MobilityWare's Solitaire (a Klondike implementation), which I play often while waking up, winding down in bed, or sitting in lines or in little rooms :-)

So far the only one I find myself coming back to is Orbital, which is fantastic. There's no free 'lite' version, but it's a much prettier (and a little faster) clone of this web game:
