Is Boston going to get another big snowstorm before the end of this winter/spring?

I'm feeling: curiouscurious

Well, more likely a little one.

Seems like filling out this poll either way would be just begging for another snowstorm. :)

No, taking the snow tires off your car would be begging for another snow storm... Which I did on Sunday. So I'm voting yes.

See, I figure ... if I vote "yes", either I get the pleasure of being right, or the pleasure of better weather, so it's a win-win vote.

Hmm. You may have a point, here. I'll try that.

It's like the opposite of Pascal's Wager.

I know! All I can think is "STOP JINXING IT!!"

Oh dear. And I voted with wishful thinking......

Had I read the above I might have gone with reverse psychology!

Me too, but I bet I voted the opposite way.
sabriel_sabriel_ on March 9th, 2010 04:22 pm (UTC)
Judging from your userpic, I'd say you're right!!

I voted yes, and then took my skis out of the car in hopes that it'll make it happen.

I also voted in the hopes that voting "yes" would be like bringing an umbrella and having it not rain :)

I voted no with my heart and soul, not my brain.

Not that I want one, but yes. I think we'll get one more.
Katefenicedautun on March 9th, 2010 05:08 pm (UTC)
I voted "no" because to me a "big" snowstorm is >6 inches in Boston, and I doubt that we'll see that. I do think we will get an inch or two, possibly accompanied by a few inches of rain...

It always snows in the first 10 days of April. Whether it will be "big" or not, not sure.

You people who voted no should all go outside, turn around three times and spit into the wind for you have aroused the wrath of the thing from high atop the thing, and now we'll get more snow!!! ... sigh... I shake my head at us all.

and add MORE water to the area?

No way.
Chancemiss_chance on March 9th, 2010 06:30 pm (UTC)
In that way that taking an umbrella with you makes it not rain, I think our household has pretty much guaranteed a decade of mild winters.
