Haven't you done this one relatively recently?

Off the top of my head--cooking, organizing, planning, telling stories and kissing.

Did I? Well, then, "Remembering what LJ polls I've posted recently" is obviously not on my list :)

"really good"? I don't know.

I'm good at writing.
I'm good at organizing information.
I'm good at understanding process flows through complex systems.
I'm good at asking good questions.
I'm good at giving clear answers.
I'm good at giving backrubs.
I'm good at performance -- public speaking, acting, that sort of thing.
I'm good at seeing issues from multiple perspectives.

- Needling comments, devil's-advocating, generally being Loki-ish but without malice. (Not sure if I'm ok with it, but I definitely seem to be good at it...)
- Learning new skills.
- Giving hugs.

Food.
Anything to do with food, including cooking, managing, buying, comparing, expositing, lecturing, eating.

Knitting fast and following instructions. (I can't make a blanket statement because I'm not a great designer.)

Organizing.
Organizing a physical space, playing freezer or closet tetris, figuring out logistics to get from here to there, organizing a party, determining the best way to pull an event together.

Turning a long, tedious document or contract into a succinct summary. I don't advertise this one much because it's no fun to do.

Organizing and leading raids in World of Warcraft.

In your case I'd generalize that to "enthusiastically organizing groups of people to do sometimes complicated things and have fun in the process"

You started the Arisia Naughty Nurses for example and ran it for a couple years and a large part of the work you did when I met you required organizing groups of inexperienced people to set up children's bookstores.

What do you think we are, Monkeys on Sticks???goat on June 28th, 2010 07:16 pm (UTC)
Massage
Wiggling
Giggling
Cuddling dogs (and kitties, too)

I'd like to say "sticking needles into people painlessly", but this is a rather nascent ability, and acupuncturists practice for decades before they are truly masters of the art of needling technique. I definitely have a knack for it, though, and am developing at a pace with which I'm pleased.

There's lots of things I'm good at, but few things I really excel in. I think this is the result of being born with lots of natural talent (mostly in the arts, but other areas as well), yet lack the discipline to pursue any of them with the consistency that would make me great.
