I tend to take things personally, when I could just as easily give the benefit of the doubt.

I often wonder why people are so impractical, selfish and shortsighted. You?

I often wonder why my general preferences have formed the way they have...

- styles of music that satisfy the most
- physical sensations that have intrinsic Rightness
- smells of people I like as companions / lovers
- racial heritage of babies my brain considers attractive from a distance
- strong kneejerk reactions to textures and colors
- types of food that I want *constantly*

And sort of related...

I often wonder why the wave forms of sounds I don't like are visually unappealing to me as well.

That traffic light at Arlington center doesn't start with the *right* arrow.

I have spent many hours wondering this too.

I do often wonder why.

Today I have wondered why Ford hasn't been held accountable for their abuses during the Dirty War, why the ice cream had more caramel than ice cream in it, why I stayed up all night reading a crappy vampire novel, why money market accounts work the way they do, why parents so often fuck up even with the best of intentions and how the music from your party last night can possibly be this good.

Motivation?
...people act the way they do. Especially when their actions, choices and words are counterproductive, and actually make their situations and lives worse.
