Bay Area amusement park lovers:

Have you been to the Six Flax near Vallejo (Discovery Kingdom) or to Great America near San Jose? What did you think?

I went to the one near Vallejo back when it was Marine World and I was.... 6? 7? I liked it. :-)

Talk to Pep & Jen & Ari none of whom read LJ anymore. They've done a lot of roller coastering...

Great America in Santa Clara is pretty good. Lots of roller coasters.

derspatchel is a huge rollercoaster fan and has been to, I believe, all the greater amusement parks (and many of the smaller ones) in the USA. You might want to ping him if that's something you might be interested in?

Went to both as a kid (back when 6 Flags was Marine World). I would definitely vote for that one, as it has animals. Of course, I don't do rollercoasters, so I'd always go with the one with whales and tigers.

I'm not an amusement park person, but I have lived near the Great America, and people scream very enthusiastically. If that helps any :)
